The archive.
Every project I've shipped.

Twenty-five years of web engineering across four eras — from early independent work in Lima, through a decade of editorial at scale in New York, a platform tour at AWS, and a present centered on AI-native products. The archive is deliberately long; the filter on the right will help.

Harvard · MIT & others — WordPress sites

Multi-client WordPress engagements for Harvard, MIT, and several other higher-ed and editorial brands. Content structure planning, implementation guidelines, design liaison, project management — agency-mediated, with frequent direct client representation.

What I did

  • Planned content structures and information architecture for multi-author editorial WordPress sites — taxonomies, post types, ACF schemas.
  • Wrote implementation guidelines (component patterns, CMS conventions, content QA) the rest of the team built against.
  • Owned design liaison: translated designer intent into CMS-buildable layouts, flagged gaps, negotiated trade-offs with both designers and engineers.
  • Project-managed several concurrent engagements end-to-end — scope, schedule, milestones, sign-off.
  • Worked through the agency but routinely represented it directly with client stakeholders for reviews, decisions, and escalations.
  • Trained junior PMs and developers on other teams; mentored across multi-discipline groups of designers and engineers.

Outcome

Shipped WordPress sites across several brands; built repeatable patterns for content structure, design liaison, and PM.

  • Integrated a WordPress editorial stack and a NodeBB community layer into a single product surface.
  • Set up the frontend conventions, CI, and component patterns the rest of the team built on.

Boombox Gifts

A multi-year engagement on the platform behind Boombox — artisan gift boxes filled with up to 150 custom-printed messages and photos. WooCommerce + Laravel + React, plus the Design Genie™ tooling that drove a 6× design-throughput gain.

What I did

  • Helped sketch and ship the original MVP — a WooCommerce marketing site plus a custom Laravel app for invitations, message capture, and editing.
  • Iterated on the platform for years against real customer behaviour — message versioning, multi-message-per-contributor, queued processing for 120+ card boxes, emoji rendering.
  • Worked on the Design Genie — a custom in-browser layout tool that programmatically templated cards by length, photo, and contributor; cut single-project design time from 4+ hours to a fraction.
  • Address-book integrations (Gmail, Yahoo, CSV), bulk photo uploads, automated email templates, and a Salesforce integration that consolidated three tabs of ops work into one.

Outcome

Internal Design Genie tooling lifted Boombox's design efficiency by 600%.
